Apartments that feel like they were always meant to be this way.

Every apartment has a personality waiting to be expressed.

Apartment interior design in Bangalore presents a specific set of challenges — and a specific set of opportunities. The floor area is finite. The ceiling height is fixed. The structural walls are where they are. Within those constraints, every decision matters more than it would in a larger space, and that pressure, applied correctly, produces better design.

We have worked on apartments across Bangalore — in high-rises in Koramangala and Indiranagar, in mid-rise buildings in HSR Layout and Jayanagar, in older buildings in Richmond Town and Vasanth Nagar where the bones are good but the finishes need complete renewal. In each case, the project begins not with the floor plan but with the person.

We ask how many people live in the apartment, how they use each room, and what they find frustrating about the space as it currently exists. We ask which rooms they spend the most time in and which they avoid. We ask what they want to feel when they come home. These are not rhetorical questions. The answers directly shape the design decisions we make.

In apartments, the highest-impact decisions are almost always about storage and light. Storage done well makes a small space feel large. Storage done poorly makes any space feel chaotic. We design every storage element — wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, bookshelves, entry storage — as a piece of custom joinery, sized for the actual objects that will go into it. This takes longer than buying off-the-shelf units. The result is categorically different.

Light — both natural and artificial — is the other primary lever. We assess the orientation of every apartment we work on and design for the light it actually receives at different times of day. A west-facing bedroom in Bangalore receives intense afternoon sun; the design for that room must manage that light, not fight it. A north-facing kitchen may need a carefully considered artificial lighting scheme. We treat each room’s light condition as a design input, not an afterthought.

Materials in apartments must perform under daily use. We specify flooring that can be cleaned without specialist products. We choose joinery finishes that age gracefully rather than showing every scratch. We select hardware that continues to work smoothly after years of daily use. These are not glamorous decisions, but they are the ones clients thank us for three years after completion.

If you are planning an apartment renovation in Bangalore — whether starting from a bare shell or updating an existing interior — we would be glad to begin with a conversation. Read more about the studio or reach out directly to discuss your project.

How We Work

How an apartment interior design project works from first meeting to finished space.

01 — Existing Conditions Survey

We begin with a detailed measured survey of the apartment as it exists — or, for new apartments, as-built drawings from the developer. We record ceiling heights, column and beam positions, window orientations, natural light quality at different times of day, the position of existing plumbing and electrical points, and the limitations imposed by the building's structural system and management rules. This survey prevents the most common apartment design failure: a design that cannot be executed within the actual constraints of the space.

02 — Brief Development

We spend considerable time developing the design brief with you — understanding how you live, who lives with you, how each room is actually used, and what you need from the space that your current home does not provide. We also explore the aesthetic character you are drawn to: images, materials, places you have visited that felt right. A thorough brief is the foundation of a design that serves you precisely rather than generically.

03 — Concept & Spatial Design

We present a concept that covers the spatial plan, the material and colour palette, the furniture approach, and the lighting character — enough to give you a complete sense of the finished apartment before any commitments are made. We refine this concept with you until you are completely confident before moving to detailed design.

04 — Detailed Design & Specifications

Every surface, fitting, fixture, and furniture piece is specified in detail: material, finish, supplier, dimensions, and installation requirements. Carpentry drawings are produced to the level of detail required for accurate fabrication. Material samples are presented on a board in the space, viewed in the actual light conditions of the apartment, before final selections are confirmed.

05 — Contractor Management

We manage the construction phase — coordinating between civil contractor, carpenter, electrician, painter, and other trades. Site visits at each stage verify that work meets our specifications. We resolve issues as they arise without involving you in every decision, and we brief you on progress at regular intervals. We manage the sequence of trades to avoid the delays that come from one trade waiting on another's incomplete work.

06 — Final Styling & Handover

The final stage is the one that brings the apartment to life: placing furniture, art, textiles, and objects in the positions we have designed for them. We supervise this stage and make adjustments until the space looks and feels exactly as intended. You walk into a finished home — not a construction site with furniture in it.

Questions

What people ask about apartment interior design in Bangalore.

How long does an apartment interior design project take?

From first meeting to a finished, styled apartment: typically four to seven months for a 2 or 3BHK. The design phase takes six to eight weeks. Carpentry production takes four to eight weeks after final drawings are approved. Civil and electrical work runs in parallel. Final styling takes one to two days. A realistic programme is discussed and agreed at the outset of every project.

Can you work on an apartment that is already under construction?

Yes — this is actually the ideal stage to engage us. When the structure is complete but partitions, false ceilings, and electrical layouts are still being determined, we have the most influence on the spatial quality of the finished apartment. Engaging us after these decisions have been made permanently limits what is achievable. Whenever you have us, we will work with whatever conditions exist and make the best possible outcome from them.

Is there a minimum apartment size you work with?

No. A 1BHK designed with genuine care will always be a better home than a 3BHK designed carelessly. Smaller apartments require more rigorous thinking — every decision matters more when space is limited — and we approach them with the same thoroughness as larger projects. The design fee reflects the scope of work, not an arbitrary minimum.

Your apartment has more potential than you think.
